Room Very Clean and Staff Excellent Steven, from Canada ~ 30th Oct 2009

imagine living in a heritage building! Though facilities seem a bit old, but they are all functionable and the staff are really nice! They organized a free thanksgiving dinner! So warm! The washroom and bathroom are shared by the whole floor but they are nice. The showerhead is a modern one, though it doesn't match the theme of the hostel. A nice experience which you should have, too. Yiu Ki, from Hong Kong ~ 15th Oct 2009

Great location!Walking distance to waterfront, gastown, chinatown, pacific center, and even stanley park!! Safe and quite. Nice patient receptionist! Definite choice for backpackers!! Gaowa, from China ~ 12th Oct 2009

Was good for the money, wouldn't have liked to stay there long term though. It was quite noisy. Didn't much like the bathrooms - toilets were sort of in the middle of the corridor with gaps above the doors. Not much in the way of cooking facilities either. But good enough for a few nights. The room was very stuffy with no ventilation system at all. Would be great if a fan or something could be installed. Ka Man, from Hong Kong ~ 23rd Aug 2009

Just great and unique. But in a very hot summer, the rooms may be unuseable for Europeans. Buy sometime some ventilators to make up for the missing air-condition? But again: location, situation, people - just great for the price! Jean-Jacques, from Switzerland ~ 10th Aug 2009

The room and the linen were pretty dirty when we srrived and the staff was not very helpful in solving the problem. The whole Hotel smelled pretty disgusting. Internet wasn't working and the kitchen was ajoke, only a table with a toaster and a microwave. Alexander, from Germany ~ 9th Aug 2009
