the hostel is great, but it's huge. i think at smaller hostels it's easier to come into contact with other people. at stayokay vondelpark i felt more like living in a hotel than in a hostel because of its atmosphere. but anyhow, it's a good hostel, very clean, very friendly staff and it's pretty cool that it's directly next to the vondelpark. only the showers could be better.. The location of this hostel is excellent and easy to find. The free breakfast is excellent. The staff were really helpful too. Unfortunately the place was full of school kids screaming and acting like elephants jumping around on the floor above. Even though that drugs are banned in the hostel I was placed into a room of druggies who found it acceptable to be rolling joints at 1am.
