If you like the city life style, this place should be your last option. It's 30 mins bus trip away from Edinburgh centre. yes, you could get your own room, but if you have a thight schedule, it's not worth to stay so far away. the room is reasonably clean, but trust me you don't want to use the kitchen.

I thought this hostel was fine. It was clean, affordable, and had easy access to the downtown centre. The only annoyance was that it was about 5 miles from city centre and consequently it felt out of the way. The buses come often, however, and you don't need to make any transfers. Staff was friendly and almost everyone staying there was 18-24.
