  • Sorry guys! But the rooms have no windows and no space to even Open your luggage! You can hear all your "neigborhood" from the rooms next to it! The worst place ever! If you really really reaaaally want to save some money , try to suck it up!

  • We found cockroaches in our "room"... The double room looks more like a closet (do not trust any picture on the website or you'll be very disappointed ) The cleanliness is at its minimum in the bedroom, the restrooms (showers + toilets) were a nightmare. A good place for explorers ONLY... Holidays in NY deserves a better place to stay.

  • Really nice place to stay. Great location, nice and polite staff, and small but clean rooms. The only one problem that we've had was a group of Chinese people who were having a party or something in the room close to ours since midnight... Don't forget to check Chinese restaurants near buy, they have AWESOME food for pennies, we ordered four huge plates and payed only 15$...

  • The cleanliness of the place was very poor, I didn't feel comfortable using the bathrooms or sleeping in the sheets as there were hairs in them when they were supposed to be fresh. There were cockroaches in the room. The staff weren't very friendly, definitely paying far too much for the services provided. It should be called Sun Bright Hostel and not 'Hotel', I've actually stayed in hostels much more clean and cheap.

  • The room was infested with bugs crawling around and dead in the ceiling lights. The two beds had sheets that were not clean and springs that jab you while laying down. The bathrooms were nauseating and constantly filled with dirty towels. We were made to feel as though we were a complete inconvenience when checking in and when asking for help with the bug situation, which is a complete violation of health code. We travel frequently and this was, without a doubt, the worst experience we have had.

  • The first night they gave us a room right next to the lobby and I was staying there with my brother and his wife and we barely could sleep because people was coming in and out, being laud and a group of people was so upset in the middle of the night because the hostel didn´t respect their reservation. Anyway, next day I asked the guy in the reception for a different room and he was very nice. The bathroom is horrible, I had to close my eyes to take a shower!

  • Our opinion on this hostel is not so good. The first thing we noticed when we got inside our room, was hair in our bed. That was pretty disgusting. After our first night, I (Linn) got some red marks on my back. It was a little bit itchy, but I didn't care about it so much the first day. After our second night, the marks was bigger, redder and it was so many more of them. When I got home, I went to the doctor, and she could tell me that it was bedbugs-bites. So the cleaning is definetly not good.

  • Not as bad as people are saying. Yes, rooms could be cleaner. Yes, bathrooms are not the most appealing I've seen. But for a couple of days it's more than fine and the staff (at least during my stay) was friendly and helpful.

  • Nagyon jo szallas kis penztarcajuaknak! A kornyek biztonsagos, kozel van a metro megallo, es tisztak a furdoszobak. Szerintem, aki csak aludni fog a szallasan, annak megfelelo! A staff segitokesz, es bar kicsik a szobak, de 40 dollarert tokeletes!

  • It's a thrifty place. Hotel is an overstatement. My private room was a closet with no room for anything but one twin bed. The room had no windows (Is it legal?). The towel looked brown. I saw a cockroach crawling around. It took me more than 30 minutes to check in. The bathroom next to my "room" had no working lights. Another shared bathroom had working lights but no place to hang the towel. The "free internet access" was one extremely slow PC that froze up every time I rolled down the screen.

  • My first time went sincerely well - it was few months ago - but my second time was terrible: I met insects in the stairs, there's there an unbearable smell in it, an entire floor is in construction but its dirt is widely exposed to clients, the staff does not care at all about you... They managed to build single rooms which are not single at all... Please try it, if you want to discover awful places to stay in Chinatown! Me, never again.

  • If you are looking for a hostel don't go there!!!! "A stay in a hostel is quite different to that experienced when staying in a hotel. More fun and more interaction at a lower cost". This is the definition of "hostel" posted in hostels.com! Well, Sun bright hotel is not fun, is no low cost at all and you will find no interaction with anybody unless you like to talk with homeless and johns!!! No atmosphere, no cleanliness, no facilities, no windows and rude staff. I cannot say anything positive!

  • This is one of the worst experience I ever had at any hostels. The place is dirty and smelly. This is more of a health issue than anything. The rooms are small and loud since there is no roof. So you can hear everything from other people. The service is horrible. I was suppose to get a refund back for my last day since I didn't stay the last day and they send me the roundabout on how to get my refund back.

  • First, the place has bed bugs. Second, the staff is rude. Third, the place is filthy. Last, THIS IS NOT A HOSTEL. It is a housing tenement or slum, over-priced at that. Don't expect clean bed clothes. Don't expect the usual hotel atmosphere. The location is wonderful. That's about the only nice thing one can say.
