When we finally found the place we found it wasn't a hostel but apartments that could be rented to Thai people. There was no one there to greet us and show us to our room so we had to leave and find somewhere else. It's not even in Bangkok and is no where near any train station.

the owner was very helpful. we arrived at 4am and he woke up to greet us and even walk us to our room. he was very helpful to give us tips how to get around the city. the rooms were squeeky clean and spacious. although i chose this place for its close proximity to jatujak, it still is far from the where the action is - downtown. but hey, a taxi fare from this place to jatujak is only 75baht. not bad.

Very cheap and nice. People are friendly and can give good advice. The manager helped us to organize a trip outside of Bangkok (including private driver and guide) to the crocodile farm and Nakhon pathon for quite cheap price. Unfortunately, this hostel is very far from the city center and the old city (must take a taxi to reach the closest skytrain which is the terminal of the skytrain. About 1h30 is needed to reach the old city.

This hotel is situated in a pretty bad location but if you wanted to get away from the hussle and bustle of the center this is perfect. The owner of the hotel is the only person we meet in bangkok who is not after your money and is very helpfull.

Our stay at Sunisa was a positive experience. The family run hostel provided great service, and were very attentive to our needs during our stay.

The owner was fantastic, very helpful and spoke reasonable English. But... the location was TERRIBLE! It was a one hour USD10 taxi ride into downtown (eg Khoa San Rd, Royal Palace). Maybe there were cool places in the area, but we only had two days in Bangkok, so no time to explore. And no maps/info provided at all.
