“ I was on the vacations in USA for the first time. The basic problem in a new city is to find the best place to stay. In los angeles surf city hostel is the one which has that location at such a resonable rate.. The staff was very cooperative. The atmosphere was so good. Nearest to the beaches n u can access the public transport at just a few steps.. I rate it 8.7 out of 10 coz the breakfast provided was not upto the mark. Thnx Must recomended place to stay in LA VANRAJ ”

“ Surf City Hostel was a great place to stay for the weekend. The location is awesome on Hermosa beach and the amenities are excellent. The atmosphere is more hotel/motel than hostel like but definitely still worth it if you're in a small group. Will definitely stay there again if I return to SoCal. ”

“ very close to the beach and bars - loud in the night hard to find nice people beds not very comfortable alright if you are travelling on a cheap basis. if you have more money, spend it for a hotel ”

“ parking situation: I had to park about 3/4 to 1 mile away from hostel. It's a better hostel for someone without a car. Shared my room with hostel employees. All the space in the bathroom, shelves, were taken with their belongings I'm quessing. It seems it would be nice for the staff to have their own room, so on their downtime, they'd have their own space. The bedroom was very cluttered. again, since the staff is living at the hostel. It was also very noisy until 1:00. It did have character ”

“ OK place. Had a few surfers that stayed there forever and some other regulars hanging around, that gave you a feeling that you we're only visiting someones house in a way. Close to the beach though if that is what you aim for. ”

“ If you like party, this is the place for u. the hostel is close to the pier and bars (really close, 2nd floor) normal beds/rooms. perfect for backpackers. kitchen, internet, etc... all ok ”

“ quite noisy location because it is located in the bar and restaurant pedestrian area of Hermosa Beach. The hostel is very close to the beach. Free parking is just available 10-15 min away from the hostel (walking) ”
