If you are looking for a laidback place with personality then this is the place! Beauty galore, super friendly, tranquility guaranteed, safer than houses and as much adventuring as you want to handle. I'd come back in a flash :oD

One of the greatest places I've ever stayed. Sufers Beach is a lot of fun and the owner, Tom is a most awesome guy. Don't expect a hotel, becuase this isn't but the views, the location and the local people make this a great place to stay. And as for Diesel, what a cool dog he is!

The location on Eleuthera is ideal for anyone seeking a peaceful get away with a bit of adventure thrown in. Tom, the care taker runs the place more like a home than a hostel. There are some great beaches nearby, and Tom knows everybody and is always more than willing to tell you where the next party is or take you snorkeling and teach you snorkeling. We were always the only ones on the most beautiful beaches i've ever seen.

This place is very cool. There is a minimal and utopian vibe that I haven't experienced anywhere else. Stay at least a few days and I promise you will have memorable experiences. The owner, Tom, is a genuinely laid-back guy who will make you feel welcome without intruding or pandering at all. As a retreat / hang-out this is a great spot, and it is in a unique neighborhood of an amazing island. If you surf, there is no reason you wouldn't like it here. Be honest with yourself when planning a trip here. The sheets are clean and the beds are comfortable, but if you require hotel style amenities, this is not for you.

This place is in a beautiful location and gives a much better feel for island living. The price can't be beat either. Make sure to have your taxi driver stop to let you buy groceries on the way there or you won't have food.

Did not stay there. I did not know that the ferry ride was 15 hrs and was $65 each way. I flew into Nassau and could not make the 8:00 am ferry and I had to wait until the next day. The only returning ferry was in the pm, and I had a flight at noon. I am sure it is a great place and I hope I am able to stay in the future, but this time it was too much of an inconvenience.
