the dude running this place is so welcoming! he gave us courgettes from his mums garden when he saw we were making a pasta sauce. welcome shots, all sorts. such a great guy. the location is abit far away from the centre but it was so nicely decorated it definitely made up for it! Swanky is almost brand new and you can tell. It is very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The decorations, paint, furniture, everything give the place a cool vibe. We only stayed one night as Zagreb was just a transportation hub for us, but we enjoyed Swanky. It is a little outside the city but the ZET tram system is super easy to use to get there and the directions on the website get you right to the hostel (a relief after some of our previous hostel stays).
