The hostel lost our booking, but they were able to arrange a room for us anyway. The rooms were relatively clean and the location was pretty good considering most of the neighborhoods where the budget hostels are located in San Pedro are way sketchier. Security was excellent. We had a wonderful experience at the Tamarindo! They arranged a pick up from the airport and Angela gave us lots of information about the surrounding area. The hostel was very safe and a fun environment. I would stay there again. Colleen, from USA ~ 15th Feb 2009

The Tamarindo flaked out on my reservation, and they overbooked. Therefore, another guy and I had to sleep on a couple of mattresses on the floor in the office. They apologized, and said I could stay for free, but the next morning they tried to charge me for the night anyway. The electricity kept going out, and with only one elderly woman on staff after business hours, it became a pain for everyone coming and going, as she had to unlock the gate every time.
