all in all, not the best hostle, but location isnt to bad. its by definition, meager at best. the staff is nice though. the showers are outside and small. the rooms only have one key per room shared by all guests in that room. no lockers. and they claim the cheapest bar around, but it isnt. just dont expect a whole lot out of it and you will be ok. also, lock up your bags. i heard of severas cases of "lost" wallets, passports, camera's etc.

staying in the 3 ducks is really fun if you are looking for good company and possibilities to get together and you do not care too much about luxury concerning the rooms or shower. in the kitchen you have the possibility to cook sth small and you can sit then in the yard for eating or going to the bar if he weather is bad. I found it friendly all in all, not to forget about the perfect place the hostel is located: if you follow the beautiful shopping street rue de commerce for about 15minutes, you come right out at hte eiffel tower. supermarkets, coffeehouses and bakeries everywhere around, and not to forget: the metro is right next to the 3 ducks!

it was really nice and the staff was friendly and funny. it is only on the zeekend that tit would be hard to sleep because people are out in the courtyard socializing. 20 minute walk from the eiffel tower and in the most magical part of paris... boulangeries and fromageries everywhere cest tres beau! the showers sucked but the rooms where good and the cheap drinks where even better! loved the location and i will be back in a heartbeat ... totally worth it for the price.

Geat place for the money. Bathrooms a bit outside the room, but although it was winter it was ok

This hostel was horrible. The website fails to mention the "bathroom," is an outdoor closet. Which is very inconvenient in the winter. Also, the main office is the bar, so anytime you need anything you have to stand with all of you stuff in a crowded, smokey bar. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. The rooms are placed around a courtyard which is behind the bar. So, there are constantly loud, drunk people singing and talking in the courtyard all night. If you are not interested in getting any sleep this is the hostel for you. The staff was very rude. The whole place felt dirty and was very uncomfortable. This was the worst hostel experience I have every had.

Main entrance was through the bar...didn't like that b/c it is filled with smoke at night! Although, bar was a fun hangout (if you don't mind polluting your lungs for a while). Modest accomodations... showers not too bad, but if you're on the first floor, you must go to the courtyard to use them. Located near metro station, shops, and a few places to eat. Good place to meet other people! Free internet! Overall, not a bad place to stay.

There were no windows in rooms. If you want to have shower you have to go outside which is unpleasant, especially in winter.

Great location, really close to Metro stop which is convenient. The staff is really friendly and nice to deal with, but the rooms are similar to camping, really cold and noisy, and the bathrooms and showers on the ground floor are outside.

well all the rooms face into a courtyard where drunk people party till 6am. so if u want a party hostel this is the place to go. if u want any sleep at all dont come here ! the staff were very nice though and helped us out with information while the metrto strikes were on. pretty dirty though, the showers are in the courtyard outside so very cold in winter. baguette for brekky, allright. free internet.
