I wouldn't call it so much a hostel with a bar, but more like a bar with a hostel. The staff is TERRIBLE! Especially the girl in the mornings. Don't ask her to repeat anything or she'll rip you a new one! There is only one key per room, last person out has to leave it with the front desk. The place is very run down. Showers and bathrooms are outside in the courtyard which is a pain especially if you're upstairs. There are no sinks in the bathrooms. Some rooms have sinks some don't so make frien

I lived in Paris for a year, and I recently went back to visit and I ended up staying at this hostel for 2 days. The location (St.Germain) of the hostel is great, and withing walking distance to the Eiffel Tower. We actually walked from the Champs-Elysees to the hostel one night, although its about an hour walk. The hostel is fairly dirty, but small Parisian apartments tend to be like that. The bathrooms are all outside of the building, and so are some of the showers. I recommend the hostel beca

I was disappointed in this hostel. It did not advertise that there was a lockout from noon to 4 everyday, to clean, but I saw very little evidence that anyone cleaned. It was dirty, and you could not bring in outside alchohol on the premises, and the bar was pretty expensive. The kitchen was also very disappointing with no bowls and very few utensils and pots, plus the fridge was really small. I woudl not stay at this hostel again.

I thought ths hostel was great. It was in a neighborhood away from tourists but close enough to a metro to take you anywhere you wanted to go. The customer service was good, the breakfast wasnt much but it was still good. I would stay here again.

What started as a good experience turned out poor. Requires payment of bedding...keep your receipt otherwiese the clerk will try to deny your deposit of 7 Eu. Don't drop your wallet, the Euros (only the Euros) will be missing. Not too clean - many complaints among guests we met.

My opinion of the 3 ducks is that you get what you pay for. It's a cheap hostel but happens to be in a great location tourism wise and a nice area. if you're spending more time in this place other than to sleep..'wake up! you're in paris! why stick around the hostel?!?'
It's a nice basic kinda place. the lack of security left little to be desired(luggage room open to anyone in the courtyard & i think i could have given my room door a good pull and it would have open minus key!) and although the

3 ducks is the most basic of hostels. its loud, dirty, and inconvenient. location isnt horrible, but also not the best. there is only one key per room to be shared among whom ever might be staying there. the showers are in more of an outhouse than a bathroom, and to get to them you have to cross the bar patio area.

staying in the 3 ducks is really fun if you are looking for good company and possibilities to get together and you do not care too much about luxury concerning the rooms or shower. in the kitchen you have the possibility to cook sth small and you can sit then in the yard for eating or going to the bar if he weather is bad. I found it friendly all in all, not to forget about the perfect place the hostel is located: if you follow the beautiful shopping street rue de commerce for about 15minutes, y
