  • A little noisy in the evening, when the pub is open.

  • I stayed one night and there were a group of drunk student on our floor, It was very loud and we had to move to another room around midnight. There were a security personal there but he coun't do anything. The doors needs to be better to control the noise in the hallway.

  • great atmosphere but thats about all it has going for it, the bartender was awesome, the facilities sucked though, bad showers, wifi only worked in a tiny little area which sucked, no kitchen either, breakfast was amazing though for free

  • The overall stay was good. However, they need to do some serious sound proofing in the hallways. Every time someone opened or closed a door you could hear it.

  • Wifi didn't work well in the room. So we went to the ground floor to use it. Some shower rooms didn't have hangers inside to put things while taking a shower.

  • Internet was not working, apparently is a very often happening situation. In a 10 persons dorm the oxygen was very low. A ventilation system would improve that

  • The place is located in a quiet street, but close to all the lively places around hauptbahnhof. Close to the city center as well. My room on the fifth floor was very good, although the corridor was somewhat smelly. Breakfast is amazing for a hostel. The worst thing was the Wi-Fi connection. You have to be very very patient to use Internet. All in all, taking into account that this is a hostel, good value for money.

  • The walls and partitions are too thin, so every sound is hearable.

  • Overall I liked my stay in this hostel. For the price, the dorm and bathrooms were clean and the location is excellent. Clothes hangers in the bathrooms would have been nice. The ceiling light in my dorm and one of the under bed lockers was also broken. My experience otherwise was positive. I would stay in this hostel again when traveling to Munich.

  • This is a good hostel to stay at if you want the option to have a drink at the pub in the hostel or lay low for some quiet time. Hostel was easy to find, less than 5 min. walk from the train station. The street it's located on is pretty quiet compared to the street Wombatt's is on... but (as a backpacker) I liked that. The front desk team is nice and laid back. Free wi-fi in the lobby (connection was so-so). They have washer/dryer on site. Thanks for nice stay, Munich Hostel 4U! :)

  • Very unclean, especially the bathrooms. The rooms are really messy. The building is very old and the elevator takes a long time to get to the floors. Party downstairs is super loud and will not let you sleep in your rooms. Breakfast is great, and location too, very close to the station.

  • Average all-around except for location which is pretty good. It's right next to the central train station and within walking distance of the main attractions.

Practically, Barcelona is a pretty easy city to navigate on foot or by public transport with a well laid-out grid system for the streets and a simple metro system. Here's an example of what you can do with 24 hours and a T10 (10 journey) metro ticket.
