  • The bathrooms were very dirty and the maids dragged the mopped on the floor as they were putting it back into the untility room creating a wet streak in the middle of the floor that I almost slipped on. Also, you need a new water heater. It is impossible to take a warm shower.

  • Room was too dark and small for me. Also, there was a lot of additional costs that is not understandable. No breakfast is served not like other hostels I've been. The staffs are pretty friendly.

  • I stayed in the winter period, so it was cold out side. Therefore the heater was turned on maximum inside. This is good, but during the night it is not preferable and no fresh air was added to the room. In addition the heater produced a lot of hard noise, so earplugs are badly needed. Although the hostel was cleaned very well I was bitten by a bed bug. I reported this and directly got a new room.

  • If you're over 6ft tall and are claustrophobic, this place is not for you.

  • The noise level is very loud. You can hear everything the others are doing: if they breath loud, snore, typing on their laptops, close the door, lie on the bed,.. It's like your camping. The rooms are extremely small around 2.5 m2 - this is no joke! If your suitcase does not fit under your bed, good luck! I also stayed at an other hostel in Midtown which had a better location, better facilities, bigger rooms, tv, internet and was cheaper - even during New Years Eve!

  • The place is pretty clean, although it is dimly lit. Facilities were neat. It doesn't have laundry room, so it is inconvenient for those staying for long. It is located south of NY, so it is not very near places like Central Park. Kind of central to all attraction, but not particularly close to any.

  • You will need deal with a lot of stairs, so if you can not use stairs look for other hostel. Otherwise is a good place.

  • The rooms are really small (bed too) and it's impossible to sleep in the morning because you can hear ten alarms going on, since the walls don't go up to the ceiling. If you like to get privacy in your shower, it's not a good place to go! They charged me more than what was written on hostels.com (never explained why) and they made a mistake and charged me 50$ more on my credit card after I checked out and I'm still waiting for them to make the correction...

  • Private rooms not truly private. Please put a ceiling on the rooms! It will help people sleep and people won't irritate each other all the time during late night hours and early morning hours.

  • Nothing special about this place. Clean enough considering how closed in and communal everything is. Rooftop is cool but sleeping and bathroom arrangement is really poor. My friend copped an eyeful of wang whilst just casually strolling towards his room. Also some random dude was sitting on my bed when I got home at 4am, so I dunno what that says about security. He said he was waiting for someone. Da fuq??? Wouldn't recommend.

  • Good Wifi. Close to the subway, restaurants, shopping around Broadway and some night clubs. Walking distance to Brooklyn Bridge!

  • had problems sometimes getting in the front door. had to wait outside sometimes for someone to come out the door because they did not answer the buzzer. also they could work on making the doors and locks in the bathroom and bedrooms quieter. definitely need ear plugs to muffle out the sound. some compression systems on the bathroom room doors would do the trick and also go to a new lock system on the doors.

  • As others stated the beds are super short, as a 5' 10" person I just didn't fit and it severely affected my sleep. I would not go there again for this reason, only people below 5' 7" or so should stay at this hotel. Also you should expect to be very quiet, as the ceilingless cabins are not private at all in terms of audio and make you very self-conscious (as well as hearing everything everyone else does).

  • The Hostel itself is really nice with helpfull staff , really nice bathrooms and a wonderfull roof terrace where you can unwind after a intense day in New York. The downside is the rooms, or cabins. They are really tiny and I found it hard to sleep comfortable in the beds because they were so short (I'm 5'11 or 180 cm). The price is a bit steep for these "singles".
