this is the second time I go back to this hostel, but really disappointed this time. first, the ppl there made a mistake on our room allocation at the first place(although they managed to fix that problem later) second the when I was unpacking my things, I found that there was a cockroach on my pillow, that is REALLY REALLY disgusting. but the location is quite good, you need to make your own choice if you can accept this condition yufeng, from China ~ 14th Mar 2010

the location is great, you're in the heart of south beach and really just about five minutes from the beach. and the stuff is very kind, on our checkout-day they gave us the oportunity to lock our luggage, so we could still enjoy the beach and after they offered us a shower, no extra costs. great service!!! Great location, right by beach, and in a really nice area of South Beach (Spanish Quarters). There is no common room or kitchen and the desk people are rude, but otherwise, great place to stay. I paid 18 dollars and could not have been happier Bryan, from USA ~ 29th Mar 2009

Nice hostel located in the heart of south beach, three blocks from the beach and close to different restaurants/night clubs. The staff is really nice!! Please take into consideration that this is a Hotel and Hostel so there are no much fun activities at the Hostel. I would come back to The Clay if I visit Miami again.
