Pity the Russian youth have no respect for other guests and are happy to party until 4.30am. The only thing going for this place is its location.

Pretty good hostel. Sure, there are some of the Russian style handling of admin issues like moving me around rooms randomly at midnight several times("the paper says so"), but overall a great party atmosphere and almost unbeatable location behind Kazan cathedral.

We met great people, a helpful staff and comfy beds at the Cuba Hostel. The 8-bed green room was so lovely! The showers could be better, however I'd stay there again & again.

There is no space to lock up things there, so people with lots of pricey equipment (eg photo) should think twice before staying there, because you can't leave anything of value at the hostel.
A great hostel! Friendly staff, clean and right in the thick of the action (about 10/15 mins walk from Hermitage). Would recommend to anyone.
