the boat is really cool, the only problem we had was that the owner wasn't there when we went to pick our stuff and the key wasn't working, it seemed to be locked from the inside. I almost missed my flight and had to break into the boat. Other than that, do not expect too much fun because there is only one room in the boat

Captain very nice... couldn't get ahold of him on the day of check-in, but with the help of the neighbors, we got in just fine. Great location and way different than any other lodging in Amsterdam. Was a very unique way to see the city and was great for a group of girls!

We didnt have any problems during our stay in The Friendship in Netherlands. It is very recommendable and Chris advices were very helpful.

We are a group of seniors and handicapped. We started to have apprehensions as 30 calls and 3 emails to the owner regarding early check in and transportation went unanswered. We arrived 11am, owner was not prepared. We are disappointed; boat was very messy, owner came in and out as he pleased to use toilet, bathroom and kitchen. We had no privacy. He leaves his towel in bathroom and clothes around the boat. We are very disappointed, both by the boat condition and the owner's attitude.

We just stayed on the Friendship and had such a fun time!! It's near to everything, colourful and a great way to stay in Amsterdam!!
Would definately reccomend The Friendship for anyone looking for something a bit different. We had a fantastic time! The boat is in a good spot close to the action and the facilities are surprisingly good considering they are on a boat. The owner who also lives on the boat is very friendly and helpful and a true Amsterdam eccentric. A truly memorable experience.
