Very clean. Location halfway between the train station and most of the city's attractions, and within walking distance of all of these. There is a locked gate. Kitchen for cooking. Much nicer hostel than you'd expect for the price. Staff helped me find hostel in my next city.

I'm not sure if anything else in Bucharest is any better but the funky chicken was pretty basic. No locks on the door, no lockers made for a slightly unsafe environment. The Location while near(ish) the centre was on a none too friendly road. Also, rather shockingly the 'free cigarettes' were filter-less and so un-smokable. Even the staff didnt go near them. Wouldn't stay here, or in Bucharest again.

Difficult to find using the map on their website. Better to buy a proper map on arrival in the city and use that to find the hostel.
This is an excellent Hostel of the slightly old-fashioned variety, cool, laid-back, with the local Internet in a nearby Jazz-Bar Establishment, and in harmony with the local atmosphere of Bucharest; a surprisingly charming City with the distinctly Asian Feel evident to the East of the Carpathians....Cheap, convenient, quite secure and a very pleasant experience all round: 'Chunky Fission' is Good Value...
