Hi, I had a good time. I would recommend this place to my friends. Thanks. Dheerendra, from India ~ 1st Sep 2009

They offer a shuttle bus to and from the centre which you have to pay for. I waited an hour for it as I just missed one, and they wouldn't let people without an already bought ticket on first, so I missed out and would not offer to come back for the remaining 8 of us with our backpacks! They just said to get a taxi. They charge for wifi internet, other than that it's a nice hostel but far out of town. Looking at a 12 pound taxi ride if you go out at night. This hostel is way outside the city centre and in the middle of nowhere. They do offer a shuttle bus but it fills up very quickly and is not always available. I think a more central location is better. Richard, from England ~ 31st Aug 2009

It would be more convenient if there could be earlier check in options, a free shuttle, no pre-booking needed for the shuttle and if items in the shop could be purchased without a card. Catherine, from Canada ~ 1st Sep 2009

The hostel is good, but they are so strictly about the breakfest. I mean, you cannot eat sufficiently. I didn't like the lack of information about the location, the hostel is very far from the city centre, and the transport is limited. They offer one shuttle to leave and bring the people from the city centre, but I couldn't take that because is always full, on the other hand the hostel is enormous... think you will get some sleep in a 4beds dorm?NOP,they allowed 2 people to check-in at 2am and the next night,2 others at 4am.If you don't have a car,you WILL need to plan your trip around their "shuttle" schedule because they don't work between noon-5pm and stops at 11PM (after, pay a taxi) AND you have to reserve it or else take the other an hour later, staff made people wait for their conversations to end before helping them.Bar area was nice though but don't get fooled by their website!! Hi there, each time we talked to the staff we got different information. That was extremely annoying! And we got the impression that the staff is completely inflexible. In general, our stay at the hostel was more stressful than relaxing! Best, David Read Owner Comments David, from Germany ~ 24th Aug 2009

The staff are friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are kept clean with plenty of hot water for showers. It IS out of the way a bit, (which makes for a relatively quiet external ambiance) but no more than a 12 pound cab ride from anywhere and since the cabs seat at least 6- pitch in with other guests! Otherwise their shuttle is alright, seating fills up though. Susannah, from USA ~ 15th Aug 2009

It'a nice location on the outskrirts of Edinburgh directly at the Firth of Forth. It's 20 minutes from the city centre but they hourly bus shuttle. Impressive amount of leisure facilities (Bar, Cinema, TV). Unfortunately they charge for Internet access. Stephan, from Germany ~ 14th Sep 2009
