  • Fantastic time here, you need to book at least 3 nights to be able to do both walks/climbs on the wall. We had 2great days and only saw 2 other people. Hostel was great, really nice staff, comfortable beds and lovely food, best food so far on our trip. Don't be put of by the price, its well worth the extra as your staying right on the wall. We had a pick up from Beijing as there we 3 of us, it was easier that the bus. Would definitely come again, maybe in the Autumn.

  • Great place to see some rustic areas of the Great Wall. A bit of a hike from Beijing but noting an China-traveler cannot cope with. It was wonderful to see the Great Wall in the rural wilderness.

  • Really lovely hostel with great staff. It's a little adventure getting to the hostel itself but worth it for a rural look at the wall and town in China. Absolutely freezing in the winter, -6 when we were there! The bathroom was great and room lovely. Just very cold in the dorm, even though there was 2 heaters it was a big room so still freezing, especially at night. Apart from that a great hostel, great staff and the food was a little pricey but really tasty!

  • We booked this hostel just because it got awesome ratings and everyone raved about the hike along the wall, so we decided to adjust our trip to Beijing to allocate heading north to this hostel and it was WELL WORTH IT! The hike was amazing (although we did get lost, the only map they have is a watercolor one which is cute but not that detailed so if you do the hike make sure you go down one of the several breaks along the hike that is marked with an "X" to head back down or just turn around before you get

  • This hostel was a gem, a perfect location of the beaten path right at a very non-touristy part of the Great Wall in a small town...but yet it had everything one needs. The place was beautiful with great rooms and wonderful staff... Highly recommended to anyone wanting an adventure unlike any other.
