This place is great! But very quiet during the week, hardly anyone else home. No one staffs it full-time, so you have to be there in the mid-day or arrange the access numbers on the phone. Very clean, neat, interesting ambiance. I really enjoyed this place. Only ten minute walk if that to the parks and the beginning of the old city. A beautiful city is Riga!

a really quirky hostel, interesting decor and friendly staff Great common area and kitchen. it does feel a bit like the renovations are ongoing..and there is some really interesting art and posters... Was a bit of a walk to old town riga but still a walkable distance.

Good place - lots of work already gone into restoration and keeping old character of the apartment.

This is definitely a place to go if you are looking for something different from the usual. It turned out to be a really beautiful appartment, about 15-20 min. walk from the Old Town, which has simply been converted into a hostel. The rooms are all very different, but stylish (especially the bathroom). To be honest, it felt more like staying over at a friend's flat, without the friend being there himself :-)

oh dear. it might well have been grand had the showers-all 2 of them-been clean and in good working order. i'm afraid the general layout was of a place rather shabbily thrown together. the key to our 3bed room worked only after a struggle. this might well have put me off hostelling. we moved on to a hotel after 2nights and got our remaining money back
