Best hostel I've stayed at in China. Great, friendly staff. Facebook access. Excellent location. Free pool and darts (beat the owner in a game of pool and you get a free night's accomodation). Nice hang out area courtyard. And only 30Y for 4 bed en suite. Definitely recommended. Mark, from Scotland ~ 7th Nov 2009

Jade Emu was definitely the best place we've stayed in during our trip in China and we had a great time there! Room was very nice, clean and cozy, staff was very friendly and helpful and you'll also appreciate the location outside the old city hustle and noise. Have to saw this is the best, friendliest, cleanest, most fun hostel I have ever stayed in. The owner dave is possibly one of the nicest guys your ever likely to meet! We stayed their for 2 nights and are going back to stay a further 3 nights after coming back to Dali from lijiang! The city of Dali itself is amazing and so chilled out and the jade emu is about 100 metres from the main streets of the old town!Foods great, beers cheap and the staff are super friendly. Great place!! Big, clean, modern rooms, friendly staff that helps you to organize everything (tours, drivers, tickets). Just 5 minutes walk from the Old Town of Dali. If I come to Dali again, I will definitely stay here again! Tolles Hostel! Große, moderne, blitzsaubere Zimmer, freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal (Ticket-Service, helfen bei Organisation von Tagesausflüg undundund). the best hostel i have ever stayed in. the owner is a really nice and helpful guy and everyone is so relaxed here. everything about the place is really really good. wouldnt hesitate to come back to beautiful dali and i would definately stay at this amazing hostel again! thanks so much for making my stay here a memorable one.
