- “ In terms of value for money,I would look elsewhere.The Lighthouse was ok- but we stayed in a better hostel in Ipanema (The Mango Tree)for less money and more facilites.The main issue was paying for the internet- 5 reals for an hour is expensive.The 8 bed dorm got very hot and felt cramped.There were 2 bathrooms,but they were busy in the mornings & there was nowhere to get changed other than in there.There were a lot of mosquitos.The staff were helpful enough,but we wouldn´t recommend this hostel ”
