  • Lily Pad is a standard "backpacker" type hostel/guesthouse, easy to get to, friendly accommodating staff .

  • Staff were very friendly and inviting! The hostel has a very welcoming atmosphere. It is also quite close to Dali Old Town (5min walk).

  • At 49 kuai a night, the single room was the cheapest accomodation in Dali outside of dorm style digs. The room was nice, even though the bed was a little hard and uncomfortable. The shared sitting room was great, the one problem was that for two out of my six mornings at the hostel, there was no hot water in the shower. The staff are great, they go out of their way to be helpful, provide tips for sightseeing, arrange bus tickets, also provided medicine when I was sick. Thumbs up!

  • The place was excellently run, very kind and attentive, providing all kinds of services for very reasonable rates. The location just outside the old city makes it perfectly convenient and extremely quiet and relaxing at the same time. The single room was fully functional and nicely arranged. Only problem is that I got stolen a bit of money in great part because of my carelessness, but it was an unfortunate black spot in the otherwise excellent experience.
