For a hostel, this was absolutely great I am staying again when I am in town and none of my NYC friends can have me! Great place to stay for an art field trip. Loved it, beds were v comfy and the train so convenient. Line, from USA ~ 9th Nov 2009

This hostel is very spacious (rooms are massive) and beds are very comfortable. But if you are a light sleeper the street noise early in the morning could be bad because of nearby industrial factories. Currently the metro from Morgan Ave is out of order on the weekend and you have to catch a free bus to nearby stations which are always crowded. Some of staff are very nice, others not so friendly but all in all this place is great value even if not in Manhattan! Rachael, from Australia ~ 2nd Nov 2009

I thought this was a great hostel. I came in only to sleep, esentially, and found that the security was amazing and the people were very respectful and friendly. The night that I hung out, it was easy to find things to do and it actually felt very closely like a home away from home. Great kitchen and entertainment center, in a quiet neighborhood. If you stay in The New York Loft Hostel, you will feel pretty comfortable to use transport. Because there is near the subway station. Moreover the subway is available anytime. Alltogether a quite nice hostel, especially for the price. The rooms are great. We slept in a 12 bed loft and you didn't have the feeling of a dorm at all. So much space..... But definatelly a much too small common area. Also the kitchen area is very small, so that most of the people had to eat their breakfast standing up.
