It might be dirty and cold, but it's close to both the CBD and Brunswick street.

really nice place with good common areas, lounge and kitchen. friendly and welcoming. close to Brunswick st which has lots of good vege cafes and interesting shops. would reccommend staying here.

For an older establishment it was decent and I chose it for character. It was clean enough although the bedding was shabby. An attempt was made to break in to the front door in the night but all rooms had card entry and felt secure. I didn't use the kitchen. Its on a main street so noisy all the time but you get used to the sound of trams going passed in the early hours.

Need to let people know that reception isn't 24 hours. It was only 8am to 10pm.

It is a fun place to stay, met a lot of cool people in the Nunnery. They could clean a little more often under the beds, for the rest it was a great place to stay and hang out.

Need to do something about the back gate. Was left open a few times and had 2 unsavoury characters stroll in at 3 in the morning. Maybe it should close automatically or something. All else was great though. Thanks.
