This is an extremely sociable and friendly place to stay and I met many people whilst staying here. The staff are leaned back and pretty helpful - they helped us organise a great trip to Niagara Falls and the CN Tower (you get a discount if booking it through the hostel) The hostel rents bikes for the day for just $10 which is a great way to see the city and is good for taking on Toronto Island. If staying here, be sure to go to the free BBQ on a Friday night. The bathrooms are a little rough and ready, but don't let that put you off. I'd definitely consider staying here again. Thanks guys!

This hostel is in China town on a back street - not ideal if your own your own - I recomend another hostel if you want the heart of the city. The rooms are ok and beds ok - but very hot for summertime as fans are not that good. The place was untidy - and the shower not clean at all - but the free breakfast is a bonus

When I was shown to my room, there was a large pile of feces in the middle of the floor. If that is not enough of a deterrent... The hostess was not too friendly; they only accept cash, which they want you to pay in full on arrival; and the street was full of homeless people and drunks.

The two best atributes of this hostel were the location in Kensington, and the small size. There are two (old) townhouses, one with dorms and one with private rooms with a combined capacity of 39 people. The staff were relaxed, accessible, and helpful when asked.

I had a really great time, the first night was a bit odd for me just because I wasn't used to staying in a hostel, but the staff helped out alot, and I ended up meeting some really cool people, and Overall had a blast in Toronto because of it. I would definately stay again.

Excellent location. Kensigton Market is fabulous and walking distance of everywhere. Hostel is very poorly run however. Absolutely filthy. Rubbish dumped out the back garden and washroom rarely cleaned.

Only 3 wash rooms for so many guests is not enough... And the dorms are a bit small to have 6 guests! But ask for the 3 beds room "Beaches", it's nice.

I really enjoyed my time at this hostel. The staff was friendly and they thew a free BBQ for us so we could meet everyone who was staying at the hostel. Also, the fresh baked goods available in the morning allowed me to start my day very happy. The location was also great being central right downtown and also in the middle of the very entertaining Kensington market. Thanks very much!

We stayed 5 days and the staff did not talk to us. We must go talk to them, always and always
