  • I stayed for one night, it had great beds, great bathroom, one key for the entire room which was a bit inconvenient with a room for 4 people, no lockers but I wasn't worried about belongings as it wasn't very busy when I was there in May, had a great atmosphere, everyone staying there got to know eachother, the people running it were accommodating and helpful!

  • The staff was friendly, especially Kostas ( thank you Kostas). He helped me arrange the lower bed while there was no one free (i had an operation and couldnt climb upstairs).

  • It's a nice hostel in a small but cosy uphill street. What we didn't make use of, but I imagine as being annoying is the 2€ you have to pay for using the cooking facilities. The location is convenient, the hostel also has a garden/terrace which is beautiful. There was mostly young people staying here.

  • Like others have said, there are mosquitoes and it can get quite hot in the summer! (My room had no fans and we weren't supposed to used the air conditioning. eep.) That said, though, the place is really jumping, with a very friendly owner who hosts bbq's every night and coffee and snacks every morning. People hang out in the courtyard all the time, so it's a great place to meet people! Be prepared for a long uphill walk to the hostel, situated near the top of the hill in the Old Town.

  • The people who run this hostel are FANTASTIC. Elissavet and Kostas are so much fun and they really treat you as if you are their personal guests. I felt very much at home there. The only negative I have is location. It's not hard to find, but the walk to get their is a very steep climb and I was not ready for that. So be prepared, but this hostel is worth it! I loved my stay there and I would stay again.

Practically, Barcelona is a pretty easy city to navigate on foot or by public transport with a well laid-out grid system for the streets and a simple metro system. Here's an example of what you can do with 24 hours and a T10 (10 journey) metro ticket.
