Quiet place, good for resting. 10 min walk from the isite center. Staff is a little on the strict side, but the security is good.

We are indeed a very secure place to stay. We have some basic (fairly standard) house rules that we have put in place to ensure the safety, security and enjoyment for all of our guests (i.e. smoking, alcohol and general guest behaviour expectations etc). It would be highly irresponsible of us to not have these rules in place. We accept it can be a challenge for every single guest to be happy with our rules however it generally isn't a problem. Our staff would only be "strict" where these rules (or rather, the breaking of these rules) were concerned, which is a positive really.

The manager is not very friendly but helpful enough. the kitchen and lounge area has a strange smell..but good kitchen facilities and a television. (limited channels)

Odd comment re: the strange smell....probably more to do with what is being cooked (or overcooked) in the kitchen one would think!!! Generally you would expect "smells" in these areas.....so guest maybe experienced the aroma of a creative cook in the kitchen (or a fellow guest in need of a shower after an adrenaline packed day :)
