I stayed in the apartment style room above the cafe and found the premises comfortable and quiet. Clearer list of chattel use for each apartment would be helpful as one side had a washer and dryer, the other didn't. Overall it was a great facility and Peter the host was extremely helpful and obliging.

I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone. It was clean, everyone was friendly, and I (a woman traveling alone) felt very safe. I will definitely stay here again.

Once you've been to nyc once, times square gets old fast. but keeping that in consideration, 42nd street is still a great location because it's in the middle of the city and the subway makes getting anywhere super easy. the hostel itself was incredibly accommodating. staff was friendly and not overbearing. the place was clean and very safe. i'm 100% satisfied.
Peter was great. Great location. The best rooms are at the 44th and 9th location. We stayed in the room overlooking 44th, it was perfect. Would stay again in a heartbeat!
Great location! Clean! Friendly! Like in home! I met another Chinese girl in my room and we had a lot of fun together. Paul was from the same town of me in China, which I never expected. I even never met anyone from the same town in Tokyo yet. He is a solid dude. His story can be written as a book. Well, he is so helpful, too. You will like here!

A very small hostel and very cramped - needed more space for the price i paid. Location is excellent though and being in the heart of Times Square certainly makes up for everything.

Though the facilities cannot be compared to those in a hotel, I will definitely choose it again next time in New York because it makes me feel at home and i can lay down anywhere in the hestel. The owner, Paul, who is also from China is so nice that he helped me to get on the bus to airport, let me sleep in a cozy double-bed and talked to me a lot. The mattress is so comfortable. The location is perfect and it is very safe.
