As a first-timer visitor of Hong Kong, Ting Tong Backpacker hostel was the perfect choice for me. Kit, the owner of the hostel puts so much effort that every visitor has a great time while being in HK. The next time I go to HK, I will definitely book into this hostel again! This hostel is by far the smallest hostels I have ever been to in Hong Kong. There is only one room, which has six beds. The room is a bit messy but the manager is very nice and he likes to treat visitors for a free beer. The location is a bit far from the main city. Moreover, the hostel does NOT have an elevator. You would need to drag your luggage to the 9th floor by foot if you plan to stay here. Overall, this hostel is an okay hostel but would recommend only for short-term. Roy, from USA ~ 5th Dec 2011

Best hostel in Hong Kong. Located in local area= cheap food. 1 min walk from subway station but climbing 9 floors of stairs is kind of a pain. The owner is a very friendly local guy.
