To go downtown it takes about 15-20 min, but there is a very nice bar with live music every evening (e.g.digeridoo contests) on the premises. Liked it very much and stayed for a week.

Toddy's (in the part of the complex we stayed at two seperate times) is a little weird, it is obviously been a hotel which used to have self contained apartments but have now been badly converted into two bedrooms with a shared kitchen and bathroom. One bedroom had the air conditioning..the other is fed by a poor venting system. Which give the room very little ventalation. The patio doors on each room are a puzzle in themselves. I was suprised to have to pay a deposit of $20 for kitchen equipment,,as the kitchen had nothing in it. It is also way out of Alice Springs so expect along walk if you dont have transport. On a positive note it did have two pools, each of the kitchens had a fridge.
