Although located at the Chungking Mansions, where you can are offered have sex, hashish, watches and variety of cell phones, Tokyo Hostel is a really nice place. It's clean (daily room-service), the staff is very helpful, they've got fridge in the room and BBC on the tv.It might not be the cheapest one, but the price is considerable, and you pay for safety and cleanness. We booked a twin-room at Tokyo Hostel, but they put us in Australian hostel on 16th floor instead. Linen looked suspect first day, but got changed each day. Our room was rigth next to reception area, and our last night was spoiled by a strange melody-alarm that went of every 5 minuts all night long - it was like having an alarm clock going of all the time. I've been Hongkong before, and I stayed at the very expensive hotel- but it was as small as the room in Tokyo Hostel. Although it is small, it has everything the tourist needs. Perfectly clean bathroom and air-condition, free computer use. Location is even more perfect. You can walk to Houbor city in about 10 minutes!! Though, one thing you should remember is if you are alone, woman, and the first time to Hongkong, you should be careful when walking by Chungking mansion.
