Don't be mistaken: if you look for "fun", perhaps you should look somewhere else. If you want a clean, close-to-everything, dirt-cheap bed in a small hostel, this is the place. The only down-side is the toilets, as you-ve got only one per floor and if you want to take a shower (not always hot) you need to wake-up before anybody else. The tube is at 5min walk and you've got restaurants and shops within minutes. There are free lockers in each room. Advise: don't leave your beers in the fridge! Renato, from Italy ~ 20th Oct 2009

Biggest problem was plumbing - hot water didn't seem to reach upper floors. Otherwise a great value for the money. I didn't spend much time there except to sleep so really can't comment on fun. I was out the door every day before included breakfast started. Kitchenettes on each floor across from bathrooms were helpful. A short walk from Tube stop in zone 2 (Royal Oak). This was my third time staying at Torquay and I think it is a decent place for the price. The staff is very helpful and the location is just fine. Busses go just to the door. I'm planning on staying here my next time in London as well. Kind regards, Maria (DK) Maria Lumby, from Denmark ~ 9th Oct 2009

i don´t recomend that hostel, it´s depend like you live it but the problems are... one single toilette each floor , there are three floors and there is no elevator, and in the third floor the hot water doesn´t work... you can imagine how you can have a shower... the room i occupated was the smallest i´ve ever seen for four beds, only one meter between the bunk beds and close to the motorway... hearing the cars all the night... really a marvelous hoste l... Althought it wasn't the nicest hostel we have ever said in, it was completely fine for a night or two. It was clean and the staff were nice and it is in a great location and easy to fine. I would stay here again, especially for how cheap it was Stacey, from England ~ 6th Sep 2009

The staff weren't very nice, but not bad too. The price was cheap, so its fair enough to give an average overall on the hostel. Before I went to it, I saw someone leaving comments on it that the water wasn't hot enough for bathing, and I was quite worried before. But it was fine! If I go to London again, I'd definitely stay in there again. SumYu, from Hong Kong ~ 28th Aug 2009
