Nice surroundings but a 20 minute walk is required to get to any sight, an hours walk to any decent restaurant. Very difficult getting a taxi from outside, we were trying for twenty minutes. We had some cockroaches in our room but when we told the staff about it they sprayed the room and after that they at least didn't get in the beds (although they were still running around in the bathroom). Lots of dead bugs lying under the beds also. Great common area with free internet access and movies and

Touran Hostel is the best hostel I have ever stayed in. The staff is great. It's in a perfect location for tourist attractions. Overall a great place to stay. If you are ever in Hangzhou this is the place to stay.

The staff was very helpful and the place was clean. The rooms smelled good, and it was within walk / bicycle distance of West Lake.

This is a very nice hostel. Extremely quiet at night so you can get some needed rest. The place is very clean and has lots of character. The staff are great and very helpful. The only thing dont waste your money on the breakfast. It's not very good. They didn't have any salt or pepper for the eggs and no jelly for the toast. Basically just toast and butter. However that's small. So it's worth staying here. I would stay here again. Kevin USA

We really enjoyed our stay here. It's in a nice neighborhood and only about a 15-minute walk from West Lake. When I booked the room it said that breakfast was included in the price, but when I got there they said it wasn't included. Because of the error they ended up giving us our breakfasts for free. We appreciated their effort and good service. The only other problem we had was that it was very humid in our room and our towels/clothing never dried.
I stayed at this hostel for only one night, and it was definitely the highlight of my trip to Hangzhou. The facilities are comfortable, clean, and staffed by some of the most friendly people I've met in China! They were very helpful to me. Very. Come for the West Lake and stay for the homemade noodles and eggplant. It even has a cat and a forty year old turtle!
