Very clean, and great place to stay. A bit far from the train station and restaurants, but Luzern isn't that big so it really wasn't that far (maybe a 10 minute walk) Sean, from USA ~ 20th Oct 2009

Staff were amongst the best we've come across. The lady serving breakfast was amazing, so efficient, cheerful and helpful. The gentleman working behind the scenes in the kitchen was as well. Both reception staff and room maintenance staff were great also! The hotel was perfectly located and comfortable, but the staff made the difference. Would definitely recommend. Hotel was about 15 min walk from train station, on the far side (but right next to) the old town. Plain looking building, small rooms with no safes, shared toilets (but clean). Breakfast available in morning, use of kitchen available until 10. Staff very helpful. Farah, from Malaysia ~ 4th Sep 2009

You have to bring your own lock for the locker. The locker is not a big one, but it should fit in your laptop, camera, etc, just might not fit in your bag. Peony, from China ~ 29th Jun 2009

Note that the boats are free with a Eurail pass, and half price on many of the mountain trains. Cool rooms and they were not all bunk beds. A nice place with internet, breakfast, and a place to relax. Good location too. Brian, from USA ~ 21st Jun 2009

The rooms are very uneven. I was first offered a very dark room on the first floor, with bunkbeds when I had reserved a single room. I complained and was given a better room on the 5th floor, but without a closet or dresser, or even a mirror. The couple I was traveling with received a wonderful room, with all modern amenities. Breakfast is ample and generous, but service of breakfast personnel is dismal, as if the woman was angry with everyone for eating *her* food. Location of hotel is exc Marie-Claire, from USA ~ 20th Jun 2009

I stayed in a private ensuite for 2. Location was not ideal. Quite some distance from the train station. There were insects flying around in the room, probably due to the close proximity to the grassy area behind. No TV, no free wireless(though there is a LAN cable for internet until 10.30pm). Rooms and toilets were spacious though. Ming Kwong Joshua, from Singapore ~ 9th Jun 2009

Nice overall hostel. Location is out of the way but its a small town so its easy to get anywhere. The farthest walk is to the Dying Lion and its about 20 minutes. Very friendly and helpful staff. Thanks for a great stay! And....a great free breakfast in the mornings! Landon, from USA ~ 6th Jun 2009
