noisy / dirty / lack of curtain in the room l'hotel était très bruyant. Dans la premiere chambre où nous avons été logés, le mur nous séparant de la chambre voisine n'allait pas jusqu'au plafond (pour une raison de conservation des plafonds, sûrement classés...) et nous pouvions participer pleinement au retours de nos joyeux voisins à 4 du matin toutes les nuits. le lit, sensé être double, était composé de deux matelas simples, entre lesquels se creusait un gouffre chaque nui Celine, from France ~ 4th Nov 2011

Very happy to have happened upon this place!Sure it's a little loud at night, but it is a youth hostel in a central location, so you should be prepared for such things.The staff is warm & helpful & prone to hanging out with you if you are alone.Washer, kitchen, common area, central location, reasonable prices, my favorite place in Florence! Loads of character, massive rooms and right in the centre of Florence. From our balcony we could see the edge of Piazza Santa Croce. One of the guys that ran it was also very helpful and spoke brilliant English. A bit noisy at night though (up the road from one of the club areas in town) so maybe take some earplugs! we were put in an apartment with our room having a terrace overlooking the duomo, and it was amazing. the bathroom was very clean and we shared the apartment with a nice older couple. the wonderful owner personally took us to the apartment and carried our bags, i would recommend this room to anyone visiting. great location, view, and service. no wifi from the apartment but we could go to the main hostel to use theirs! This place is kinda hard to find. It wasn't the cleanest place ever, there was an old dirty mattress in our room that we moved to the hall and it stayed there during our visit. Also note that our friend that we met who lives in Florence was not entirely sure if the hostel was up to code or legal. Rye, from USA ~ 13th Jul 2011
