I really liked Traquil Lodge.The owner is so helpful,other backpackers very friendly&kind.TVroom is relaxing,feels like a older home.Big&clean kitchen,small dorm rooms,(I was just with one other girl in my room, very cheap for that)private heaters in each room kept me very warm&comfy,in a neighborhood about a 10minute walk to town which may be a bit far@night or in bad weather so if that is a concern,I would say pick a place right downtown.But this was very quiet&comfortable.no lockers Charlene, from USA ~ 5th Jul 2009

very homely and cosey. slightly further out of town than most others but still within walking distance (there are bikes available aswell). staff are incredibly helpful and kind and the facilities serve all needs. I would definitely recommend a stay here. Tim, from England ~ 22nd Apr 2009

Sadly, the nicest thing about this hostel is the guy who runs it. And it was very cheap. The hostel has an institutional feel to it - grey lino, handrails everywhere, and aids for the less able in the bathrooms - it felt as if it had been a care home in a former life. The beds were very saggy and uncomfortable. It's quite a way out of the town centre compared to other hostels - but good for those with cars as there is plenty of on-street parking.
