This place is fine for a couple of nights. The beach isn\'t great, black sand and dirty. Has small pool. Meals were great as were staff.

The staff were really lovely, they arranged a trip to one of the islands for us as we only had 2 days in Fiji, the hostel has a nice bar area and does good food, the room was basic but clean good value for money

large dorm was a bit unsettling at first but it was full of good people and between them and the great staff i hardly left the resort. fiji time is so relaxing.

i had no idea what my travel arrangements were in fiji. the girls at the front desk told me everything i needed to know, booked my reservations, and generally took the hassle of being new to a foreign country. excellent stay away from most of the dogs they have on the land. a few are owned by the hostel owners. the others are strays they feed on a casual basis. i had to help a 60 year old man at 6.30 in the morning for he was mauled on the leg on his ritual early walk. basically you get what you pay for with this place, but what it lacks in fun, it definitly makes up for itself in good staff.

i know geckos are unavoidable to fiji, but the night we had to endure was ridiculous. the rooms are old and dingy, all the mosquito window covers are hanging off, and we had to listen to the chirping of 5+ geckos all nite, this chirping is done as part of a social interaction between the geckos so there was loads of them in there. apart from that, the food was good and cheap, grand bar, there's also a lot of disease ridden cats and dogs hanging around the place. 2 doors down is the smugglers cove, it looked a lot more modern, but i didnt see the rooms, the food was excellent.

I asked for a 4-bed girls dorm and was put into a 5-bed mixed dorm. The shower room was not ventilated and while it was clean enough, sort of, left much to be desired. There was only one key for this room, and it was simply put into a tray at reception when no one was in the room - not secure. I didn't use the kitchen/restaurant. The price is cheap enough, but you get what you pay for. The staff were friendly. If you're only staying one night on your way to somewhere else, then this would be alright, otherwise, try something different.
