  • One of the nicer hostels (and also more expensive hostels) I've ever stayed in. Everything is great quality, and very clean. Something I didn't expect: A solid gas grill in the common area for everyone to use. Makes for fun get-togethers over BBQ and salads.

  • A gem beside the Great Barrier Reef. I love the character of this place, the extremely friendly staff, and how willing they are to help book things in the surrounding area. It loses points on the facilities. The showers can have the handles pop off, air conditioning is a dollar an hour when needed, but towels are included. What makes up for it is unlimited Internet. No, it's not the fastest, but it gets the job done. I'd stay there again when diving the reef, especially with the location

  • SO DISAPPOINTED. I had read great reviews of this place and I feel I got jipped. Maybe I just had a bad experience but I will likely never stay here again. The girl who seems to run things at the desk is so patronizing and rude it makes my skin crawl. You may be a hostel, Travellers Oasis but you are still in the hospitality business. My bed was so uncomfortable it was like sleeping on a sac of rocks.

  • Bit out of town what I really enjoyed, no noisy guests. Shopping is close by. Atmosphere was great. No question if I am back in Cairns I`ll stay there again. Lovely facility real tropical atmosphere. Restaurant close by but I recommend not to try the Wings of Death!!!

  • One of the best hostels I've ever been to. The only non-excellent part is its location - appx 15 minutes from the city centre.

  • The best hostel we stayed in during our time in Australia. The atmosphere was great and the facilities too. The only complain I have is that the wifi wasn't free ($5/day).

  • We really enjoyed staying with Traveller's Oasis. It is a bit of walk to central but very quiet to rest at night. Staffs are very helpful and friendly, make you feel at home. Wish we had more time to spend in hostel. Only hope that wifi can be free ... Most of guests would spend time outside during the day and just use it to check emails or contact family or friends when come back at night. It is a bit inconvenient by the time the office has been closed.

  • Wonderful all the way around. Helen at the desk fell in love with me the minute I saw her. I spent the whole week fighting her off but it was definitely worth it! The Hostel was good too.
