The Turtle was a great place to stay, especially if you are staying less than 3 nights, I heard the other hostel is great for longer trips. I met a lot of people from all around the world which really added to my trip. It was easy to meet people or keep to yourself, the experience could be what you wanted! Turtle hostel has a really neat character: nice plants, quirky water fountain with a plastic lizards and frogs, and of course the cute turtles themselves .The owners were really kind and generous to me when I got sick, so I am very grateful to them for that. There's only one shower on the main floor of the hostel for 4 or 5 dorm rooms which creates a bit of a traffic jam in the mornings. Otherwise it is an excellent hostel! Erin, from Canada ~ 12th Aug 2009

All areas of the hostel were very dirty. No screens on windows, one shower, two washrooms. The owners are friendly but pressured us into trying to take another person in the private room that we booked. Would not stay here again!
