I came with a large group of 14, and this hostel accomodated us and asked other people to move so we could all share the same room. Be aware that there is something weird going on with the pricing in that your 10% deposit disappears and you have to pay it again. Call them and ask about it, it's really confusing. Other than that, I highly recommend.

Ucool was excellent; the owner was really friendly and helpful, even coming to wait for us out on the road as the location is a bit secluded. The attention to detail was good, with curtains round the beds and lockers set into the walls next to you for extra privacy. The location is pretty much on the bund and the standard of cleanliness was generally good. Will definitely be staying there next time I'm in Shanghai.

Everything was ok, not great, but ok. I was a little annoyed on the day of checking out as I'd told the owner the night before that I would be leaving at 8.30, but he was still in bed and I had to wake him up in order to retrieve my deposit. Not very professional.

It would have helped if the hostel was open when i arrived!!!
Locked door, dirty street, nobody there. Ended up just leaving and going somewhere else. Waste of time. I just paid the night's fee without staying.
