i absolutely loved this hostel! everyone was super friendly and fun. its a great place to meet people and have fun on the town. i def recommend this hostel to everyone who enjoys traveling and meeting people.

Great location in the middle of Gaslamp Quarter, near Greyhound station and trolley station Fifth Avenue. The staff is very very friendly and helpful, and San Diego is a very nice city. Bye !!!

very nice hostel, definitely a place to return to. only downside is that some rooms tend to get very hot - and some are fairly noisy with ventilation sytems just outside the window.

All the staff were great - more interesting than most of the guests!
When I first arrived I was not thrilled as the room (5) smelled, and was dark with no natural light. So if there was a change to make, it would be around brightening up the rooms. However, once I had settled in I was absolutely comfortable! All other facilities are awesome.
Now Chelsea likes the idea of staff being named in these things, but I'm not gonna single anyone out - everyone was social and helpful, so big pat on th

The ambition of this hostel is great, kind of spain/mexian style, altough there was no elevator. you have to wear your heavy baggages all the way upsatirs. The Rooms are small an its very hot inside. There is no airconditioning, but ventilators. All in all its a nice place to stay and the "all you can eat pankake" is a good offer
We know it's been unusually hot in the hostel this summer and have just installed a large ventilation system in the main atrium which we believe will help cool off all the rooms better. So far, since it's installation, i'm happy to say we've had no complaints of the rooms being too hot. As for the elevator...we wish we could install it, but it's a historic 1800's building and we cannot modify it. We look at the stairs as a free aerobic activity! Glad you enjoyed your stay otherwise.
