They overbooked me on the first day, which is pretty bad (though they did help me find another place to stay, and offered me a free bike rental on the other days). Beds were rather shaky, and the common room closes pretty early at 11 pm. Otherwise it was alright.

A very good place to stay at! Nice staff, excellent location in downtown San Francisco and reasonable in cost. The beds are squeaking awefully and it's pretty run down, but the spirit makes it worthy anyhow . I recommend!

The hostel looks worse from the outside, located in a kind of shady side street around the corner of what looks like a brothel... Geary Street, one of the biggest in San Francisco, is very close and offers lots of plcaes to get food and other things one might need. The reservations got mixed up a few times with different groups of travellers and some had to sleep in the kitchen/common room where the employees sleep. It's athmosphere is almost family=like from time to time but unfortunately the the main employee was extremely unfriendly, kind of confused and often ignored people. The inexpensive bike rental that is located directly in front of the hostel is quite good thou.

the staff was very friendly and stayed up late to check me in after i told them about the delay in my flight. i will come back. new mattress, new carper, new bunks ... seemed fairly clean after the scheduled daily 11am cleanup. they even requested a couple if they could 'double-up' on the double bed in my room to allow for an extension of my continued stay there tonight. and wow, there is satellite tv in my dorm room!

It was very small. You have no place to put your lugages... and the cleanliness in the room is OK, but in the restroom, they could do more efforts...

4 free internet computers, superfast wifi everywhere in the building, projected cinema movies and the best of all - free calls in US !!! what else could one want? i missed the free breakfast though. some people say that it was great.

They did not have my booking, even though i had a confirmation number. That said, they did graciously drive me to a different accommodation, which, while rather dark and dingy, worked out ok.
