  • There are 5 Showers for about 60 People, and 5 Toilets. 2 of these showers were not working, also 3 of the toilets, it was hard to get a free shower in the morning, also to go to restrooms if you had to. The atmosphere is great, also the location! But it's San Francisco.. so like any hostel would have had a great atmosphere and location. If I go to SF again, i don't go to this hostel anymore!

  • My only problem was the blood stained linens. the place is cramped and in a sketchy location. But, it wasn't noisy. I got a good nights sleep. There was hot water. The staff was really great. I felt safe and I was comfortable. I would go there again.

  • Is is really the best location and the rooms where alright. We stayed in a private one and it was ok for the money we paid but next time I will pay a bit extra for something else, but I am quite picky. The showers where a bit funny but for being a hostel it was overall nice and quiet.

  • You get what you pay for, and this is very cheap. Specially considering that it's located in the center. So I can easily recommend it if you're not planning on staying at the hostel, but just sleeping there. For that it's pretty great.

  • I have two complaints. The first may not be their fault due to astronomical costs, but for what you get the price is very high. In London or Amsterdam a hostel like this would be half the price. Second, tax of 15% was not included in the cost listed on the site. I know in the US it is common practice to exclude tax, but considering the number of international guests and especially considering that 15% is twice the normal tax rate it is predatory to fail to mention this until you reach the door.

  • I was taken extra tax, when I checked in hostel.and They have poor support. Someone exchanged bed without telling me. Then i asked staff about security. But they did not listen properly. I never use that hostel any more.

  • It was an average hostel, nothing more and nothing less. VERY easy to hear conversations in other rooms, including bathroom and shower. Bring earplugs and this will be a cheap way to get downtown San Fransisco. We would stay here again, even though the non existing sound proof walls, since we came right downtown and it was cheap.

  • ATENTION IMPORTANT: this hostel has a lot of bedbugs in bedrooms!! I have had to go to hospital!!
