A very nice, friendly and informal hostel, close to the city centre and with links to various tourist-y things to do around Dublin. Staff are all friendly and larger-than-life, and can book buses, trains and day trips from their phone. My only minor complaint is that there are only four showers/three toilets, located on the ground floor, which can cause a bit of a pile-up if a lot of people are staying. That said, it seems to sort itself out. Top marks all around! David, from England ~ 18th Jan 2012

Excellent location and rooms. The bathrooms are very nice and clean but the showers are only on the ground floor so its a bit uncomfortable. Ishwari, from India ~ 5th Sep 2011

This is one of the best hostels I've had the pleasure to stay in - friendly and welcoming. And the decor is cool. I will definitely be back next time I'm across the pond. Thanks guys!

This place was awesome. Great atmosphere. Very helpful staff. The black cab tour, recommended, was the best thing we did in Belfast. This place is highly recommended! Adam, from USA ~ 27th Aug 2011

Northern Ireland was very nice, it was close enough to life. The staff were friendly and the hostel pub crawl was alot of fun. It had a cute feel to it. Reece, from USA ~ 6th Aug 2011

One of the best hostel I ever visited! Both quiet when you need a litle sleep and crowded when there is an activity going on! + the staff is really friendly ^^ Samuel, from Switzerland ~ 3rd Aug 2011

This is a great place, very close to Queen's University, and walking distance to downtown. I had a lovely time, the staff is wonderful, and it has a fun character. If you like the hostel social scene then you will love it here. My one reservation: if you want peace, quiet, and some level of personal space (at least within the hostel context) this may not be the best location. The common areas tend to be pretty busy and there was usually music playing downstairs at night. It didn't bother me, but Zealan, from USA ~ 20th Jul 2011

Oops! Seems my clumsiness has upset someone. That bothers me a lot, as I don't like to offend people. In my haste I gave a one star rating for staff, when I meant to give all categories 5 stars, as I zapped thru each one. Vagabonds is full of great craic. The staff are, of course a great bunch of guys. However, if you can handle the Aussie cliquishness and understand that this is typical when being so far away from home, its cool. Altho, on balance it can also be intimidating to some. Listening Glenn, from Ireland ~ 26th Jun 2011

It was a bit noisy at night: people were having fun ignoring people wanting to sleep. It was a very welcoming hostel thanks to Sean! adeline, from France ~ 24th Apr 2011
