“ I recommend this hostel for travelers, students and backpackers who wants to visit LA. The location is perfect in the heart of Venice Beach with its famous hippie population especially during the day, its little restaurants and bars. The Staff helpful, dynamic, smiling and funny. The rooms are old but clean with comfortable beds, and quiet. They provide breakfast and dinner, you can park easily. There's definitely some venice beach spirit on the hostel decoration. Best value for money ! ”

“ The location and staff were amazing, but that's pretty much it- I recommend staying here if all you care about is the beach and a bed. Though top bunks don't have rails and I was afraid I'd fall off until I switched to the bottom! ”

“ Great location on Venice Beach! Very friendly, informative staff. Rooms cleaned daily. Our room was facing onto the road - was very noisy at night (traffic). I'm normally a sound sleeper but couldn't sleep because of the traffic. Need air con? Or fans that aren't attached to the light. ”

“ Most of my ratings for this hostel fall in the average, because it is a bit expensive relatively to its quality. However it is really well located, less than a block from Venice Beach, three blocks from the Abbot Kinney street where lots of cute shops and restaurants and bars are located, which was really great. Breakfast was said to be "free" however you are only entitled to get two toasts of bread per person if you don't want to eat waffles, which was really not negotiable and strange. ”

“ The other reviews are mostly wrong. This hostel is just as clean as you can expect a hostel with dormatories to be. The staff are helpful, there are a lot of different people though, working short shifts, so you might have a different experience. The shared areas of the hostel are pretty big and the atmosphere is relaxed and cosy. The dinner they serve is below average (and they serve pretty much the same thing every day), so the price should be lower in my opinion. Breakfest is great though. ”

“ The price for the stay ended up $ 100 higher than expected because the hostel applied different rates than indicated by hostels.com and because the advance payment of 10% was not accepted as payment, so it had to be paid once more. Too bad with the economy, since the atmosphere was fantastic! ”

“ The staff were very friendly, readily available & helpful! We stayed in a two person private room, and it was everything we could have hoped for. It had the space of an average size apartment. We took advantage of the free breakfast & dinner, and it made the trip more enjoyable with more money in our pockets. We felt safe & comfortable at all times, then we could walk out the door to be in the heart of Venice beach! We really enjoyed it! ”

“ I went during June 13th - 16th. The staff were great with their service, friendly, helpful and helped make it a nice and fun stay. This hostel made it the best experience I had than previous ones. I was mostly out during the day but what was offered and available at the location such as the meals were helpful. There was plenty to do there but with being so close to the beach it was a lot to take in! I will definitely stay with them in the future!! ”

“ I stay for 2 night in this hostel and I was really disappointed when I arrived. FRom outside it looks OK but inside is not clean at all, smell rat the room are not efficient, I book for one private room with double bed and one dorm with 6 bed and in stead I had a private room with two very small bed in stead of a queen bed and there were seven people in the dorm. The private had one room with noting in it (lost of space). Not clean and staff was not friendly at all. Not a good idea to stay here! ”
