I returned for the 2nd time to this hostel, because I felt like I was returning to stay with family.Everyone was interested in my stay, and open and friendly, and made me feel very comfortable, and welcome.I can't say enough, how staying at this hostel, made me feel like I was free to experience new parts of Rio because people were giving me advice and directions, and suggestions all the time. A great hostel slightly away from the noise and drunken revelry of Leblon and Ipanema. You get more of a glipse into favela life rather than doing drunken jelly vodka shots at this hostel. Staff are fluent in english, spanish and portuguese. Located on main bus route operating late into the evening. Clean and tidy... Enjoyable stay Benjamin, from England ~ 20th Jul 2011
