An odd place. The showers were poor enough that I wanted to dig a well a start the whole thing all over. One key for the entire room is a ridiculous concept. The rooms are small and cramped, but other than that the experience wasn't to bad

Staff in this hostel was unpolite. We`ve got different room than we booked before . Service didn`t interest us as much as they should.

I stayed in Le Village in March '08, on my third visit to Paris. The hostel was the least expensive I've ever stayed in in Paris, but I liked it the best. Quiet stress, good and plentiful breakfast, convenient location. Shitty showers and you have to rent the sheets, though.

The price advertised is note the real price. Once there they charge you extra for the towels and sheets. The shower had no handle, just the hole in the wall and you had to continually press a button to make the water came so it was not possible to use 2 hands in the shower at least you lean on the button with your back all the time. No Wi Fi. Only to computers with Internet that where so restricted that you couldn’t even log into Gmail. And they charge you for using them.

The area of this hostel is great, lots of character and not so far from the centre. I walked everywhere quite comfortably. The rooms were clean and great only having 4 people in the one room and your own bathroom. the room I had was right next to the patio which was a bit noisy but only until midnight. The breakfast was great, good coffee, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I wold stay here again.

We went there for one weekend and it is really a fine place to stay. Everything is clean and there is a very useful kitchen. Most of the staff members are kind and helpful, although there are exeptions. But in general I can only recommend this hostel, it is cheap and a delicious breakfast is included

Everything was fine except a little tiff about the reception not receiving 10 cents composed of 1 cent pieces. Please note that we received these 10 cents from the another guy sitting at the reception in the afternoon!! The guy manning the reception in the evening claimed that he was instructed (we know not by whom)not to receive 1 cent pieces!!! But the staff otherwise are very friendly...
