  • This is a very nice, clean hostel with great views from the upstairs common area. The rooms were clean with plenty of space, and the bathrooms were well taken care of. The staff are friendly and create a very relaxed atmosphere. They offer a low-cost traditional Costa Rican breakfast every morning, which is great when you don't feel like walking or taking a taxi into town first thing in the morning. My only complaint is the lack of security, as anyone can walk up to any room off the street.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Villas Jaquelina! Esteban, Steve, Yara, and the rest of the staff were wonderful and interesting people. Would definitely stay there again.

  • This was my first time staying in a hostel so I was a bit nervous about the conditions. When we arrived after a long day of travel, Esteban, the GM, greeted us with open arms. The place is beautiful, clean, and I felt very safe. Everyone was so nice and accomodating that I hated to leave. In the morning we got a free massage, then a wonderful homemade breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed it and I would definitely recommend Vilas Jacqueline, it's top notch and a great value! Pura Vida!

  • I have stayed at a lot of Hostels and you know not to expect much from a hostel, but Villas Jaquelina was beyond great! We arrived early int the morning and were not prepared for the high heat. We were greated with a smiling face from Estaban the manager and a cocnut water. He put our bags in our room and gave us a little tour and informed us that we would have a massage later that night. WHat a great way to start a trip in Costa Rica! the owners will treat you like family! This place is awesome
