Very nice small place for one or couple of nights. Nice house in an excellent place in the middle of old town. Only thing is that this is a regular home - like staying somebody's house - and rooms are normal rooms where you can hear everything from other rooms... But people staying here were very proper so no problems with this.

Viru is part of Tallinn backpackers, which wasn't clear to us from the beginning. This, combined with non-existent signs outside, made it difficult to find. The hostel is really good value for money and really is a good hostel if you prefer a bit more peace, quiet and cleanliness.
Decent hostel. Not brilliant as far as hostels go, but location you can´t fault. Girl that works there is very helpful. I´m writing an Estonia capter of a guide book and this hostel will go in as a recommendation as a place to grab a quite bed. Don´t go there if you want to party. Enjoy.

Best hostel I've ever been to. It's like living in someone's house :D. Peace and quiet in this hotel, but you can chat with the others if you like. Tallinn is great!!

Hostel was in a great location. Although only one shower for all guests so you had to wait. Shower / bathroom facilities were dirty. Room I was in had a many vertical blind panels missing so no privacy and light streamed in. There was no reception desk so felt i was just handing over cash to random person. No receipt was offered.

Excellent location. Friendly and informative staff. All was good until I got an electrical shock in the shower. Management should look into this as it is a safety concern.
